As promised, I present to you, Emily!

Finally, some new pictures of Emily are online. I have a long way to go to get caught up but this is a good start. These pictures are all from the last month or so. Larger versions can be seen at http://www.vonderbecke.net/family/emily/images/1-2years. This link will also contain all the pictures I catch up on over the next few weeks so you can keep checking there for new ones. Now, on to the pictures!

Just wanted to throw something up really quick since its been awhile. I will be updating pictures of Emily from Orlando later today. Also, Dawn was able to get her mother’s mobile home cleaned up and ready to sell while she was in tampa. Pictures are at the link below if you know anyone that might want a mobile home in a retirement community in Tampa, FL. We’re asking $13,000.

Sorry for the lack of updates

My wife Dawn and daughter Emily have been out of town since last Tuesday in Orlando and Tampa visiting my family and taking care of some business. Without them around theres far fewer interesting things to post here. Most of the last 6 days for me has consisted of Video Games, some light cleaning, and thats about it. I did go to Augusta on Saturday to help Paulo (edit: and Amanda too! They’re both my good friends - sorry Amanda!) unload his moving truck and we got everything done in about an hour. (We even moved the treadmill to the top floor - thanks Mom.)

So anyway, expect some more exciting updates to come along once they get back, plus I’m sure Dawn will have some good pictures and maybe video of Emily from their trip! Tiffany brought her “friend” Keith over a couple of times to play Rock Band this week and my brother Ron was up visiting and flies out today, so I guess there was a decent amount of stuff going on (enough to keep me from getting too bored anyway!)

Back from a long day in Augusta!

Well we’re back, and we have some pictures! It was a fun day - lots of driving (moreso because Paulo got us lost on the way to the mall and we had to drive an extra 15-20 miles!) No hard feelings Paulo! The trip started out with a record breaker…a VonderBecke actually made it somewhere on time!

Tiffany arrived at our house right at 9:30 as requested - I have to say I was amazed. I requested 9:30 (when we were leaving at 10) because I figured it would mean she’d arrive at 9:45-10, but she made it on time!

We arrived at Paulo and Amanda’s new house a couple hours later (its about a 2 hour and 10 minute drive from our driveway). Here are a couple pictures. As you can see Paulo has already ripped up all the carpet and Linoleum.

After we spent some time checking out the house (its very nice, 2550 square feet with a good sized yard, only a couple of years old and they got it for a great price), we went Somewhere in Augusta for lunch.

Attached below are some more photos while we were there for your viewing pleasure!

We’re off to Augusta

Today we’re headed to Augusta to see Paulo and Amanda’s new house.  They closed yesterday morning.  We’re also going to eat Somewhere in Augusta!  (Hint: Thats the name of the restaurant)  Sunday or Monday we’re going to Lake Hartwell to go waterskiing and it will be Emily’s first time in water with a life preserver so we’ll see how that goes and I’ll get pictures of that too.

We forgot to see if someone could let the dogs out today while we are in Augusta so it looks like they’ll be “holding it” all day.  Not the first time they’ve done it but they haven’t had to hold it for 10 hours for a year or two!

The first post on The VonderBlog

So this is my first post.  I chose the name “The VonderBlog” because, for as long as I can remember, people have been coming up with funny modifications to my last name and referencing me by them.  The VonderBlog just seemed like the perfect name to continue with the trend.

Anyway, I’m really not sure what this blog will tend to focus on.  At this point it will just be whatever I feel like typing, but at some future point it might migrate towards being an IT blog or a family blog.  Guess we’ll have to wait to find out.
